They also acknowledged the work Bruce Rogers put into the club.
He not only designed but built the outdoor tables for the club and was on hand to bowl a few ends with good mate Bob Hennessey despite battling cancer.
“It was a great day,” Gill said.
“We had 112 starters – the weather turned out absolutely beautiful.
“And we had teams from The Royal, CNDBA, Manilla, Barraba, Werris Creek, Quirindi, Nundle and West Tamworth.
“We played fours and the winners were the team representing The Royal (NSW Bowling Association) – Greg Wilkins (Zone 3 Councillor), Kevin Clifton, Don Kent and Nathan Kent.
