The Mick Miller and David Marshall-coached side were too good for Northern Sydney & Beaches in the final running out 5-1 victors.
"That was probably the best game they played," Miller said.
Miller has links with Tamworth, playing for the Frogs back in the days of the old National Hockey League, and was delighted with the way his side played.
"We played them last night (Saturday) and only beat them 1-nil," Miller said.
He said they didn't really change anything yesterday.
"We just stuck to our game plan which was to push up hard in defence," he said.
"They hadn't really been pressed."
They had played them in a couple of warm-up tournaments and felt they might be susceptible to pressing.
The goalscoring honours were shared around with Halle Roberts, Chelsea Marshall, Rylee Miller, Shae Bradford and McKenzie Stewart all finding the back of the net.
In the other finals Grafton converted a 2-nil half-time lead into a 3-1 win to take home the Division 2 spoils, while Parkes prevailed 4-2 over Dubbo in an all Western Division 3 final.
Port Macquarie earlier ruined the region's title hopes with a 1-nil win over New England (2) in the Division 4 final.
Laura Dean's 12th minute strike was all that split the sides.
The Lions 1s meanwhile drew with Southern Highlands 1-all in their fifth/sxith play-off in Division 2.
The Tamworth sides both enjoyed final day wins the 2s accounting for Nepean 2-nil to finish seventh in Division 3 while the 1s held out Bathurst 3-2 to avoid relegation.
