Re: the citizenship laws issue.
Thank you for your government’s consideration of citizenship. The issue has other elements and highlights an unresolved conflict with native Australians since the time of settlement in 1788 and the Myall Creek massacre in 1838.
Wherein by rule of law, governing authority now, like others before it, has sought to take from Aboriginal people citizenship in their own country, the place of their birth?
The government-sponsored Recognise campaign for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people is asking them to relinquish their native identity and nation status after the bloodshed was halted yet amid continued dispossession of lands, bullying and intimidation?
Shame, shame.
To gauge the sense of what you’re about, a S-top H-arassing A-boriginal ME campaign, directed against your government in Canberra, begins this week, i.e., shame, shame.
Again, we wish you well with government administration for and on behalf of all Australians.
