Director Stephen Carter said they were looking for adults and encouraged men to audition.
“We always have a shortage of men,” he said. Those who audition should also be able to sing, but need not worry about dance skills as there is very little dancing in the production.
Mr Carter is looking for eight main characters and an ensemble of at least 16 – eight men and eight women.
“The ensemble parts are smaller characters during the show,” he said.
Mr Carter said he encouraged anyone who was interested to make a booking, with auditions consisting of the performance of a song of choice and a small reading.
Auditions are at the Tamworth Baptist Church Hall and those interested can book by emailing boulevard15@outlook.com or calling 0434 932 626.
The Andrew Lloyd Webber musical will be staged at the Capitol Theatre in October and November this year.
