Narrabri West prevailed after the second lot of extra time in a game that normally takes 75 minutes but blew out to almost two and half hours.
The two sides finished normal time locked at 3-all.
Their first tie-breaker also finished 3-all before Narrabri West took a stranglehold on the game by smacking seven runs in their second tie-breaker and then holding the home side to just one run, with their bases loaded.
Megan Hartog-Smith coaches the Narrabri West side and was delighted with their stamina.
“It was awesome,” she said.
“The girls did a great job. They are a fantastic bunch of young girls.”
Pitcher Elsie Ford and catcher Zara Foley led the way, combining well.
Hartog-Smith said her side had been training twice a week to offset their inexperience.
Craig McDonald coaches the Duri-Currabubula girls and thought they were gallant in defeat.
“It was a marathon effort,” he said.
“Their (Narrabri West) pitcher and catcher were just a bit too good for us.
“We made a few too many errors and fell in a bit of a hole in the final tie-breaker.”
Kassady Crump pitched for his side, with Phoebe Reynolds and Charlotte Kesby sharing the catching duties.
