DYLAN O’Brien is flying this season, on the field and on the try scorers’ tally, notching up at least a double on Dungowan’s right wing in all but one of their six games this Second Division season.

A fortnight ago he opened the scoring against Uralla by latching on to a well-weighted Shaun Ferguson kick and the pair did it again last Saturday against Kootingal to open their account in the 14-10 win.
For his second, O’Brien flew in and off the hip of Matt Wilson after the halfback slid through the line and offloaded to the streaky flyer for first points in the second half.
In the last three games the flyer has touched down eight times, two against Uralla and Kooty, and four against Quirindi in between.
O’Brien put on two of the three tries in the 14-10 victory, and almost pulled off the fourth with 10 minutes to go, flying above everyone to latch on to another kick, although as he got pulled down a wayward knee to the head ended his day and he was lifted off in a stretcher, although shook it off to be on his feet by fulltime.
“It was a great game,” O’Brien said.
“It is an awesome back -line to be on the end of.”
Ferguson’s addition at five-eighth from North Tamworth has improved an already dangerous flank.
Coach Luke Taylor was pleased to see Ferguson and O’Brien coming together for the first try.
“He (Ferguson) is probably one of the best hookers around but we need him at five-eighth,” Taylor said.
“He is a great to have on that side of the field.”
