Sydney FC are still sweating on the decision of Milos Dimitrijevic to accept a new contract with the star midfielder just days away from becoming a free agent and leaving the club. The Sky Blues are no closer to knowing whether the 31-year-old Serbian will choose to remain with the club for next season despite offering an improved contract from his current deal.

With his contract set to expire on May 30, Sydney's hopes of re-signing him are in the balance after Dimitrijevic has already attracted offers from rival A-League clubs. Club sources suggest Dimitrijevic is yet to inform Sydney FC of his intentions but they remain hopeful of reaching a new deal with the player.
Dimitrijevic won all three of the highest individual awards this season at the club's awards night, the first for any Sydney FC player.
Sydney FC have announced the signing of former Perth Glory player Brandon O'Neill on a two-year-deal.
"I'm looking forward to working with him and developing him as a footballer during his time with Sydney FC," coach Graham Arnold said.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Danny Vukovic parted ways with Perth Glory on Monday after being granted a release as the number of players looking to leave the club grows in the wake of their salary cap breaches of this season.
Following the departure of winger Youssouf Hersi on Friday and midfielder Rostyn Griffiths weeks earlier, Vukovic is the latest player to have left the club but will unlikely be the last. The departure of Vukovic was announced by the club's chairman via Facebook as Tony Sage confirmed the release was made due to personal terms.
"It was an agonising decision to gran Vuka a release from his contract but given his exemplary service to the club and his very personal reasoning behind the request both [coach] Kenny [Lowe] and I agreed. I wish Danny and Kristy all the best on the imminent birth of their first child," Sage posted online.
Vukovic has become a target of both Western Sydney Wanderers and Melbourne Victory who are on the look-out for a new goalkeeper after parting ways with Ante Covic and Nathan Coe respectively.
Perth Glory striker Jamie Maclaren is at loggerheads with the club's management after a request to be released from the final year of his deal was blocked after allegedly being earlier told he was free to seek other opportunities. Maclaren has sought the assistance of the A-League Players Union - the PFA - in obtaining his release from Glory is understood not to have ruled out legal action against the club.
