A man was killed in the two-vehicle collision about 5km from the Tamworth side of Dungowan when two vehicles collided, believed to have been a car and a motorcycle, at 2.30pm.

Emergency services were called with the Westpac Rescue Helicopter attending the scene, but it is not yet know if any patients were transferred.

As yet there is no indication when the road will reopen.
