TAMWORTH will again enjoy the talents of US country artist Dwight Yoakam in November.
Dwight last visited us in November, 2006, when he played TRECC, where he will plerform on November 18 this year.
He will play shows in Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney, Tamworth, Wollongong, Townsville, Rockhampton,
Brisbane and Toowoomba, with Australian country singer Lee Kernaghan as his support act.
Dwight, who was born in Kentucky, has sold more than 25 million albums worldwide, placing him in an elite group of global superstars with 12 gold albums and nine platinum and multi-platinum albums to his name including the triple-platinum album This Time.
Five of those albuams have topped Billboard’s Country Albums chart with another 14 landing in the Top 10, with two Grammy awards and 21 Grammy nominations.
His latest album, 3 Pears, is out September 21, and showcases his ability to incorporate multiple, competing influences into one – balancing his country core while embracing rock, Americana, pop and soul.
Tickets for Dwight’s concert go on sale at 9am next Friday.
