I NOTED in The NDL on April 27 the apparent concern of our council with the unsightly vision of abandoned shopping trolleys around our once beautiful central business district.

This is a very encouraging first sign from our council.
I would now like to ask the council to spend the apparent $14,000 income derived so far from the supermarket on the commencement of the cleaning up of our lovely main street between Bourke and White streets, on both sides.
Once this street clean-up has commenced, council would be well within its rights to expect any delinquent main street premises owner/operator to take some pride in our fair city presentation as well as their own business image, and correctly maintain their street facades, which, in many cases, unfortunately, are far less attractive than a Coles shopping trolley.
