The Bulldogs sit equal top of the TAFL ladder, level with Tamworth Kangaroos on eight points after the two sides won their opening games of the season.
The Bulldogs are also ahead of the Nomads on the table, an even rarer occurrence over the past three seasons that has seen the Armidale-based side win successive TAFL flags.
Today Gunnedah go in on the back of wins over Tamworth Swans and Narrabri Eagles while the Nomads lost first up to Tamworth Kangaroos but then hammered the Inverell Saints in Inverell.
Tamworth Kangaroos are also sitting pretty heading into their dangerous match against Narrabri Eagles in Narrabri (Leitch Oval) while the winless Swans have a home game against the re-formed Moree Suns at Tamworth’s No 1 Oval.
Inverell Saints have the bye.
