Man dies after Quirindi rugby match

The man suffered an apparent head injury while playing in a rugby match at Quirindi Rugby Park yesterday.
The man was administered first aid and flown by Westpac Rescue Helicopter to John Hunter Hospital in a critical condition.
The man succumbed to his injuries about 4.15pm today, police said.
The incident is not believed to be suspicious, but a report is being prepared for the coroner.
