Every year the Lions Club chooses a different charity for the proceeds to go towards, and this year Blue Angel Cancer Support Group got a go.
The event attracted 77 players to play a four-man ambrose, and with the mercury nudging 40, the 19th hole was the one everyone was looking forward to the most.
Matt Blanch, Tim Stewart, Andrew Bowden and Angus Newcombe walked away with the top prize after a good day with the sticks.
Lions president James Vial praised the day and the people who generously gave their time and some prizes to the event.
“It was a lot of good fun and a great social day out,” Vial said.
“The money we raised will all be spent locally on local people and we will have a figure on that later in the week.
Lions Club members are also dusting off the gloves and scarves at the moment as they prepare for another season on the gates of the Group 4 football matches.
