Group 4 President Mick Schmiedel has offered the assistance of himself and Treasurer Peter Blom to help out with the administrative duties of running one of the bush's better known clubs and a pillar of Group 4.
Panthers president Ken Anderson will stay i that position and claims that the club has players and coaches but cannot raise a committee.
At the first AGM two people put their hand up a fortnight ago, only one more hand was added to that on Thursday night with the meeting concluding with the point that the Panthers would fold for 2015 and come back stronger in 2016.
"At this stage they have pulled out," Schmiedel said.
"We are doing what we can to keep them afloat and offered to take over the administrative side."
Schmiedel offered Panther President Ken Anderson the assistance this morning and is waiting to hear whether or not the club will take them up on it.
"We can't make them do it," Schmiedel said.
"If we can just get them through the Knockout for a start and then see if some more people put their hand up."
The President is concerned that a piece of bush footy history will be lost if the Panthers fold.
"They have been in the comp for as long as I can remember."
"We can't let a club that has produced Matt Hogan and Jamie Lyon and been such a part of Group 4 disappear."
"Once a club folds it is very difficult to get going."
When the Panthers first looked like folding a few players have already left to join nearby Narrabri, who some believe should merge with the Panthers anyway.
The president said if the club comes back into the comp those players would have the choice to return to the Panthers.
An answer to the offer is expected by the end of the day.
More to come soon.
