The 23-year-old Frenchman flew into Melbourne on Monday night and joined his new Melbourne City FC teammates in training on Tuesday morning to begin a short-term deal which keeps the ex-French junior international in Australia until the end of the A-League season.
Novillo came through the youth system at French Ligue 1 side Lyon, for whom he played two senior games before moving to a number of other French clubs on loan deals.
Novillo can play on the right or the left, although he is a right-footer.
His most recent club was Clermont in France's second-tier Ligue 2. He made his Lyon debut as a teenager, when he turned out against Monaco.
"Harry has proven experience playing at a high level as a winger in France and we are confident that he will help us for the remainder of the A-League season," Melbourne City coach John van 't Schip said in a statement.
If his visa and international clearance come through, Novillo could be part of the squad for the trip to Central Coast this weekend.
