Tamworth City and North Tamworth took to the rinks at North Tamworth yesterday while Kootingal were on their home Kootingal Bowling Club rinks against West Tamworth.
Tomorrow, Kootingal heads to South while Norths are at home to West tomorrow as well.
Meanwhile, the Central North District Bowling Association Bowler of the Year has had a stunning start with record entries for the first three events.
CNDBA’s Peter Kachel said three State Pairs events were held last weekend.
“Because of large number of entries two of the finals have to be decided,” he said.
“The senior pairs was won by Charlie Schumacher and Joe Pizzutti (West Tamworth), earning 70 points.”
The final of the State Open Pairs between Paul Eggers and Chris Collins (Norths) versus Scott Thorning and Gary Macaulay (Souths) is yet to be played.
Winners receive 70 points apiece and the runners-up 50 points.
The other event to be decided is State President Reserve Pairs between Don Porter and Jayson Pinnock (Quirindi) and Graham and Gary Harriott (Kootingal).
