With regard to your editorial, “Postman may not call again”(February 24), I have a sneaking suspicion that the postman is already not calling, at least not every day.

We often go for several days without mail, and then receive a large pile of letters all at once.
On more than one occasion we have received letters postmarked two days prior that were posted in Tamworth.
It surely doesn’t take two days for a letter to travel a mere two blocks from Fitzroy St.
