WHY did Tamworth Regional Council in its wisdom move the festival bus interchange from Kable Ave to Brisbane St, leading to thousands of patrons using the buses having to contend with the opened Brisbane St?

This change also killed off the northern end of Peel St due to the opened Brisbane St, as, from my view, the festivalgoers did not bother going down that end of Peel St.
I bet the shopkeepers know the difference.
Where was the town crier?
He has helped open the festival for many decades, but no, the council in its wisdom doesn’t want anything to do with the traditional Australian country music feel – the opening was replaced with words spoken in an Aboriginal language followed by English.
It’s good to respect the Aboriginal history, but they did not start the country music festival.
I spoke to Lawrie Minson up at the Oasis Hotel about costs and pointed out that the price for the wristband for the festival bus went up from $10 in 2014 to $20 in 2015 – this equates to a 100 per cent jump in one year.
