The North West Harley Owners’ Group (HOG) poker run, held each year during the country music festival, has raised more than $5000 to sponsor a room at Ronald McDonald House at Tamworth hospital.
More than 170 bikes were involved, carrying about 200 riders and passengers, with the convoy travelling to Nundle for lunch, via Werris Creek, Quirindi and Wallabadah.
Participants were even serenaded at the pre-ride barbecue by Golden Guitar winner Amber Lawrence, and Wolverines member John Clinton was a special guest on the trip.
North West HOG director Jackie Hudson said “everything went like clockwork” and their focus was now on a membership drive barbecue on February 8 at Tamworth’s Truck Drivers’ Memorial.
