The dog with only half a tail took Evasive Dream’s spot in box one and hugged the rail the entire way around the 440m Kancool Meat fifth grade at the club’s third and final meet for the month.
The Whitton’s are regulars at the track but were blissfully unaware of how well their charges were running under the watchful eye of Peter ‘Maverick’ Wilson on the day, as they were cruising somewhere in the Pacific between Australia and New Zealand at the time.
They might go away more often after Wilson led their dogs out to take a third in the third, a first in the fourth, a fourth in the fifth, a fifth in the sixth, a first in the seventh, a third in the tenth, and finally a second in the twelfth.
