It has come to this the final days of the biggest country music party in Australia.
Don't be too sad. I'm going to farewell you with a good time and recommend some other festivals to attend to take away the pain until Tamworth rolls around next year.
At 7am we have the ABPA Golden Damper Awards for bush poetry performance at Wests. Then get to Peel St and get your vantage point for the Toyota Country Music Cavalcade from 9am.
At 10am, it's hard to go past the Australian Bluegrass Show at North Tamworth Bowling Club, although the Australian Country Music Hands of Fame imprinting ceremony is on at 10.30am (anyone remember the Noses of Fame? We need to bring them back!).
Finn MacCool are back at Wests at 10.30am.
They were favourites after the breakfast shows in days gone by, so don't miss out on them. Perch Creek take over the Imperial Hotel from 11am, then wander to O'Shea at Toyota Fanzone, where they'll be playing to big crowds at 12.30pm. Bella are back together for one festival show at 1pm at the Longyard, or, for something a little different, head to the Speed Shearing Competition and yabby racing at the Loco (where else?). They also have pig races in the mornings and afternoons.
The Aboriginal Cultural Showcase has its closing ceremony at Viaduct Park at 4pm, or Luke Dickens is at Wests' Diggers. I don't think you can go past the Bushwackers' Gold Rush Show at the Longyard Hotel at 4pm, or Simply Bushed at Wests at 5pm, before they vie for two Golden Guitars. The Leaping Lizards are at Toyota Fanzone at 6pm, and then the Toyota LandCruiser Best of the Best Buskers Concert is at Bicentennial Park at 7pm. The 43rd CMAA Country Music Awards of Australia are on at TRECC at 7.30pm, with the red carpet starting at 5pm.
Doug Bruce and The Tailgaters take over Wests at 8pm, and Codie Prevost is with Hurricane Fall on the Longyard Hotel front deck from 8.30pm.
Finish off your night with McAlister Kemp rocking Wests for the final time at 11.30pm.
Tomorrow dawns a new day full to the brim of country music. It's been a big festival, so don't chuck it in just yet.
Start slow with the Hillbilly Goats in Bicentennial Park from 10am, or drive out to Nundle for Lachlan Bryan and The Wildes, Den Hanrahan and The Roadsiders, and Karl Broadie and Rod Dowsett at The DAG Sheep Station at 11am. I can't go past the Bob Corbett Band at the Southgate Inn at noon, or Kevin Bennett at The Pub at the same time.
Grab lunch at the Tudor Hotel and enjoy Allison Forbes at 1pm before venturing to Tex Dubbo at the Longyard Hotel at 1pm you might recognise this bloke, he looks a lot like Troy Cassar-Daley.
I'll be at Kenny Rogers at TRECC at 4pm, but the Bushwackers' Chardonnay Show at the Longyard Hotel is a traditional recovery show and is also at 4pm. Ashleigh Dallas is at Wests at 5pm, then enjoy the closing concert and fireworks at Bicentennial Park at 7pm. Finish up with the Tomkins' Late Night Honky Tonk at Wests at 11pm.
See you all at the same place, same time next year.
But before you go, how about checking out CMC Rocks Queensland, or the Campfire Festival, both in March, then Urban Country, the Gympie Muster and Cruisin' Country before Tamworth rolls around again? There's plenty of country to be found around the country, so get out and get into it.
