Drop by Emma Matthews' home in the southern suburbs and you won't see any trophies on display, despite the fact she has picked up a swag of Helpmann and Green Room awards during her career. "They're away in a cupboard but they're well looked after,"  the down-to-earth soprano says. "Occasionally when we have people over for dinner my husband will line them up on the piano. I'll see them just before guests arrive ... and quickly hide them again."
