It appears the mayor is now going to lay blame on the ratepayers for the recent rate rise rejection. 

It’s no wonder that so many voted against it. 

We’ve all been burnt one too many times. 

You tell us that jobs are to be cut now as there’s no money. 

Well, how about only allowing those council workers who are on-call to take work vehicles home?

Open up the buy-back scheme at the local tip. I’m pretty sure  it generated quite bit of money when it was operational.

And perhaps those at the top in the council could consider taking a pay decrease. 

Why should the ratepayer have to foot the bill for this overseas  AGM?

If overseas business wants to invest here, then they’ll do it with or without a visit from the mayor and the general manager. Tamworth doesn’t need these investors to come along and build some big, flashy hotel in the CBD. 

Come on, we are a country town, not Sydney.

 While growth in a town is important, shouldn’t securing a permanent water supply be paramount, especially in the current conditions? One can’t survive without water. 

Trust goes a long way and the ratepayers should be able to trust that the mayor has our best interests at heart. 

I’m sure that if we were allowed to vote for our mayor, like we should be able to, then I’m sorry Mr 

Murray, you’d be out.
