The club had another good season with numbers slowly growing each year.
President Peter Barrier thanked the members for the part they played in the club’s success.
Three members were honoured with awards.
Ross Taylor won the Clubman of the Year Award, while Dean Dewhurst took the Club Ambassador.
Kale Hayden received the Encouragement Award on the back of a season of consistent improvement.
It was also a special occasion as awards were presented to three junior shooters for the first time in some years.
Young guns Haylee Mordue, Tom Leckie and Ben Griffin were all presented achievement awards for their efforts.
Club captain Max Collins has been monitoring the juniors’ progress over the year and endorsed their achievements with some nice words of encouragement.
“They have all been coming along really well,” Collins said.
“These kids are the future of the club and we are looking for any more who want to come out and have some fun.”
Unfortunately Griffin won’t be rattling any targets for a while after a motorbike stack left him with a broken right arm and a broken left collar bone recently.
The club shoots out of the Loomberah Range, but also occasionally visits other ranges or hosts visiting clubs.
Next year the juniors will look to shoot in some local and regional competitions.
The Loomberah Range will re open on Saturday the 10th of January, with the club having a 600m practice day to get the sights back in after the Christmas break.
