Tamworth receives 673.2mm of rain each year, on average, and while we are well below that this year, receiving 457.4mm all year, December has already delivered us one-sixth of what we usually get in a year.
Barraba welcomed 5mm on Sunday night until 9am yesterday, Gunnedah had 12.6mm, Moree received 5.8mm with more rain yesterday afternoon and Tamworth got 9.2mm.

Tomorrow there could be a storm in the morning and afternoon with a 40 per cent chance of showers in the afternoon.
Small falls of between 1mm and 5mm are expected across the North West Slopes and Plains on Tuesday increasing to 10 to 20mm in Gunnedah and Woolbrook and 20 to 40mm in Quirindi on Wednesday.
The chance of rain increases on Thursday with a prediction of of showers in the afternoon and evening, and a possibility of a thunderstorm.
Barraba could expect 40-80mm on Thursday with most of the region predicted to receive 20 to 40mm.
On the Northern Tablelands, Armidale had 1.2mm overnight on Sunday and heavier falls of more than 2.6mm yesterday, while Inverell welcomed 17.6mm on Sunday night with further rain yesterday and Guyra had 7mm on Sunday night.
Tenterfield has the chance of 10 to 20mm, while Armidale could expect only 1 to 5mm.
Tomorrow and Thursday there is a high chance of showers in the afternoon, with the chance of a thunderstorm.
The rainfall is only expected to be 1to 5mm on Wednesday and Armidale, Glen Innes and Guyra could expect 20 to 40mm, while Inverell and Tenterfield could receive 40 to 80mm.
