Grater Northern Regional manager Scott Bone said the players would continue with their skills program.
“The session will look at progressing the skills which the players had performed at the program’s two-day camp two weeks ago,” Bone said.
“The camp gave the players and coaches a base to continue to build on their skills over the program.
“Sunday’s session will see the players use those core skills learned, and incorporate them into some advanced drills.”
The session starts at 10am and finishes about 1.30pm.
Chris Brennan is a NRL development officer based in Maitland.
With Zac Russ (Tamworth) and Peter Stevens (Warialda), they look after a large area encompassing Groups 4, 19 and 21.
And those competitions have a direct flow into the GNA.
“We’ve got two great squads,” Brennan said of the overall 2014 GNA squad, which is also split into the Tiger and Cub squads.
“The younger (Cubs) does look like like one of the best squads we’ve had for some years,” Brennan said. “A lot of the kids from last year were in the Greater Northern junior side that won a Country Championship as well.
“It’s also great we have a lot of coaches, especially from Group 21, coming up here to look at how the GNA is run.
“They can take back some of those ideas to their clubs and groups. That’s great for the GNA.
“Scotty (Bone) does a real good job , a professional job, with all these kids And you see it in their faces.
“They all want to be here, learning.
“It makes you very proud of this program.”
