The school’s four student organisations – the Student Representative Council, prefects, Interact and AECG – worked together to collect non-perishable food items donated by students and staff to fill four large food hampers.
Yesterday, these hampers were donated to Major David Rogerson of the Salvation Army to be dispersed to those families struggling this Christmas and local farming families affected by drought.
The local Salvation Army will provide up to 120 food hampers this Christmas and Christmas lunch for 30 to 40 people in difficult circumstances.
On December 6, the Ulysses Motor Cycle Club will hold its annual toy run, the final destination of which is the Salvation Army Church, where an array of toys will be presented to the charity.
