After making 4-99 from its 25 overs, the Tamworth school rolled its visitors for 25, after having them 5-5 at one stage.
Collier was in the thick of the bowling action, opening the bowling for Nemingha and completing her four overs with the brilliant 4-6 figures.
Her hat-trick took a little while to occur as she took two wickets with the fifth and sixth balls of her second over and then had a break to come back later after a drinks break and have the Mullumbimby batsman caught by a diving Isabella Cameron at short cover.
Collier and Cameron had starred with the bat earlier in the day too, Collier finishing unbeaten on 22 and Cameron run out for 29 in a 4-99 tally.
That also included 18 no balls, 13 byes, eight wides and one leg bye from the visiting side .
Kasey Williams (2-12) and Reece Donnelly (1-15) bowled well for a Mullumbimby side stunned by the home side’s early wickets.
Nemingha took five wickets for no runs early on to leave Mullumbimby 5-5.
Kiara Field (8) and Kasey Williams (4) topscored for the visitors as they made it to 25 against a Nemingha side where all the bowlers impressed.
While Collier snared a hat trick with two wickets apiece in her second and third overs, Lara Graham claimed 2-0, Cameron took 1-3 and Brianna Elliot and Maya Olrich also excelled.
“They are a pretty hot little team,” said David Lewis, the Nemingha teacher in charge.
“They’ve been training together for the last two years with Joe Cameron (coach) and Ann (Coleman).
“We identified them two years ago and reckoned we’d have a hot side this year.
“Everything has been geared to this year.
“They’ve been training together every Tuesday and most of them also play in the Tamworth Under 11 boys’ competition every Saturday morning.”
After a first-round forfeit, the side has beaten Tamworth Public, Tenterfield’s Sir Henry Parkes and a good Narrabri West on its way to yesterday’s State KO quarter-final.
Now they are off to Maitland next Tuesday for the semi-final and final.
“We play the winner of the Hunter valley region in the semi final,” Lewis said.
If victorious in that morning match in Maitland, they then play an afternoon final.
