Exuberant football commentator Brian Taylor has officially returned to Triple M, the radio station at which he rose to prominence.

Taylor's popularity during his time at Triple M triggered his poaching by 3AW at the end of 2009. He recently parted ways with 3AW (which, like this website, is owned by Fairfax Media), where his high-spirited commentary style was more conspicuous compared to his fellow commentators than it had been at Triple M.
That Taylor, a former Collingwood spearhead, was more suited to Triple M was reflected in the announcement by the FM station, which said the re-hiring highlighted its "commitment to delivering the most entertaining call". It said Taylor had "turned his back on the graveyard of AM radio".
"We're stoked to have Brian back in the land of the living, on a station that dominates under-60s," Triple M group content director Mike Fitzpatrick said in a statement.
Taylor will be Triple M's lead commentator for Sunday matches.
