The two girls’ sides start their titles today with Sarah Willis and Justine Davies in charge of the number one side and Hayden Lewin in charge of the 2s. For Willis, it’s something of a debut in the indoor coaching arena.
“I did the Kim Small Cup this year but this is my first time,” Willis said of a junior indoor coaching assignment.
“They’ll go all right though and have a good chance of winning.
“We do have two strong sides and have a busy weekend.”
The girls’ A side has three games today and another tomorrow, Willis said of pool games.
After that their competition is based on how well the team plays in the opening four games.
“It’s very fast,” Willis said of indoor hockey.
“It’s good for the girls to play in the off season.
“It’s good for their team work.”
