The finals were held at Tamworth Shoppingworld on the weekend with 16 girls working the catwalk with their eyes on the winner’s tiara.
Amber was crowned the winner of the senior title, while young Maddison Johnson was the junior winner.
The Tamworth final was part of Miss Country Girl Australia, a modelling competition for rural girls and women that this year has visited Queensland, NSW and Victoria.
Amber’s details and those of the two senior runner-ups will now be forwarded to modelling agents, and representatives from Miss Country Girl Australia will work with Amber in the next few months to prepare her for next year’s finals.
Tamworth event co-ordinator Jessica Bool said the competition had been running since 2009 and some of the girls they had discovered were now working in London and New York.
