October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and with pink the colour of the cause, the team decided to embrace the theme.
“We just wanted to raise additional awareness of the disease and more funds for research,” JT Fossey service manager Kierstin Donald said. “It is a disease that affects each of us in one way or another.”
A barbecue, sweets and treats were available for a gold coin donation and merchandise went on sale ahead of Pink Ribbon Day on Monday, October 27. “Our pink ‘workshop fairies’ were also available to chauffeur our customers to their destinations after dropping their vehicles off for their service,” Ms Donald said.
