From being a young kid who hid lizards and grasshoppers under his suburban bed and bred and sold native finches at the age of 12, pioneer conservationist Bob Flemming went on to found Billabong Sanctuary, an award-winning boutique wildlife park in Townsville that will celebrate its 30th birthday next March.
