IT HAS always been my opinion that there are rules for some types of people and other rules for the general public.

This has been proven lately with the ICAC hearings.
How many politicians have been found out?
And the recent one is Peter Slipper, found guilty of fraudulently using taxpayer money for his private use.
He will not see jail time but has been given 300 hours of community service.
I don’t suppose this means he will be cleaning out park toilets or anything as demeaning as that.
Who will be policing whether he actually does it?
If it were you or I who had committed that crime, there would be no hesitation in sending us to jail.
Regardless of who they are, politicians should be investigated to sort out the good from the bad.
If they have nothing to hide, it should not worry any of them.
