McCarthy Catholic College students, the majority dressed in a colourful assortment of second-hand clothes courtesy of Tamworth op shops, embraced their Wacky Wednesday theme as they carried on a tradition pioneered by past Year 12 classes.
The school’s stage 6 co-ordinator, Dan Mitchell, said in line with the school motto of “Receive, Worship and Serve”, Year 12 students each year embarked on a community service activity in the week prior to leaving for their HSC study period.
It wasn’t all work though, students got to go tenpin bowling and visit Bicentennial Park after the clean-up.
