There has been a decline every year in writing results since 2011.
Kids can’t write a persuasive argument! What the?
Have you ever tried negotiating with the eight to 15 age group?
The answer lies in the question.
Perhaps if examiners set a question that was appropriate, NAPLAN writing results might improve.
Last year’s question wasn’t just a shocker in terms of concept, but was worded abysmally. Interesting when the test shows up the examiner more than the student!
Of course, not that NAPLAN has much to do with education anyway.
