Police are investigating a suspicious fire which caused extensive damage to an unoccupied house in Moree yesterday.
About 3:20am, Saturday police and firefighters were called to a house on Adelaide St following reports of a fire.
It is believed the house was broken into and deliberately set alight completely destroying the roof cavity and partially destroying the remainder of the house.
A crime scene was established at the premises and examined by forensic officers while detectives from Barwon Local Area Command are continuing investigations into the blaze.
They are appealing for anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the street during the early hours of the morning to contact police.
