THEY'RE the local lads and lasses who work hard yakka around the clock to get the job done with their high-visibility shirts, their stubbies on and their tool belts in tow.
Yes, we're talking about tradies and The Leader is proud to launch a new competition to unearth Tamworth's finest.
We've teamed up with Qualibuilt Constructions to bring you our inaugural Hot Tradie Competition.
If you're a tradie and think you have what it takes to be crowned the king or queen of the pack - we want your nomination.
You could win $1000 in prize money and there's other prizes up for grabs too.
This new initiative by The Leader will also raise money for Tamworth charity Lifeline One of a Kind.
"We wanted to look at starting to do things for a local charity and when the NDL approached us with the tradie competition and said they'd be putting the proceeds to a local charity being One of a Kind (Lifeline), we were keen to get on board with that," Matt Byrnes of Qualibuilt Constructions said.
"The Leader is proud to have Qualibuilt Constructions on board for this exciting new competition," Fairfax group sales manager Kylie Ticehurst said.
"We know there'd be plenty of tradies out there, male and female, who'd have what it takes to win all while helping us raise money for a good cause.
"We'll be looking for other businesses who may want to donate their products or services as the competition continues to grow and raise more money for Lifeline One of a Kind."
To be in the running for the top title just send in a photo of yourself or a hot tradie you know.
Entries are open from Today and close on Saturday, October 11.
Your entry will be featured in our newspaper throughout the duration of the competition.
Voting will begin on October 18.
The top 25 tradies will attend a special event on November 14 where the winner will be crowned.
But if you're in our top 12, you'll feature in a special charity Calendar with proceeds directed to One of a Kind.
To enter, take a clear photo of yourself and send it to us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Include the full name and contact details of the tradie and/or person nominating.
