The club has a team of six heading to Sydney, three of whom have qualified to compete in butterfly events.
Millie Fauchon and Sabine Thompson are the youngest of the group and will compete against each other in the 10 and U fly.
It will be both swimmers’ first time competing at the State Championships, and Fauchon’s first major representative meet.
Thompson went to the Country Championships a few weeks ago.
Jamie Prendergast has also qualified for butterfly events and will contest the 15/16yrs 100m and 200m.
She did the same at Country and went pretty well.
“I think I did a pb in the 200 fly,” she said.
Her goal for this weekend is more pbs.
She’ll also team up with Zarleigh Jones, Sarah Collison and Lucy Gerathy in the 15 and U relay team.
Earlier in the year, the four also qualified for the State long course championships where they performed well.
Gerathy also has individual events to compete in.
Unlike the others though, she’ll swim breaststroke, racing in both the 100m and 200m.
She went pretty well at the Country titles, finishing ninth in the 100m and, like Prendergast, is hoping to swim a couple of pbs.
