The former Gunnedah lawn bowler, now based at South Tamworth Bowling Club, teamed with Scott Thorning to win the Zone 3 Pairs in Armidale on Saturday.
It followed his win in the Zone 3 singles at Quirindi Bowling Club two weeks ago.
On Sunday he paired with Patrina Marshall to finish fifth in the South Tamworth Mixed Pairs Carnival, a carnival won by Lyn and Steve Graham.
While South celebrated another Zone 3 title for one of its lawn bowlers, it also held a successful mixed pairs carnival heading into this weekend’s hosting of a State Pennants Playoff.
South, with West Tamworth Sports and Bowling Club, host the State No. 5 Pennants Playoffs on Saturday and Sunday.
South then stage the No. 5s Final on Monday morning.
“It’s a huge weekend for the club”‘ said South Tamworth Bowling Club president.
“We also have two of our bowlers, Chris Myers and Debbie Quick selected in a Northern Country side to play at Cabramatta in a big State carnival later in the year too.”
He also congratulated Nathan Wise, who is also leading the CNDBA bowler of the Year Award, and Scott Thorning on their zone pairs success.
Twelve teams will turn out at South and West Tamworth this weekend, chasing a Grade 5 Pennant.
South Tamworth has been drawn in Section 4 at West Tamworth against Asquith, Kingscliff and Wingham.
Its Grade 6 side is in a section at Ballina against Harbord, Double Bay and Jindabyne.
