POLICE in the New England and Oxley regions seized drugs and firearms in three house searches at the weekend.

An Oxley Vale man will face court later this month following ongoing investigations into illegal firearm possession and drug supply in Tamworth.
Strike Force Rutter was established by officers attached to Oxley Local Area Command in May 2014 to investigate illegal firearm possession and drug supply in the area.
On Thursday, July 24, officers searched a home on Lemon Gums Dr, Oxley Vale, where they found and seized an air rifle, pistol, ammunition and cannabis.
Following ongoing investigations, police arrested a man at 4.35pm on Saturday in Tamworth.
The 33-year-old Oxley Vale man was charged with possess prohibited drug, possess unregistered firearm, possess firearm while unlicensed, possess ammunition and not keep firearm safely.
He was granted conditional bail and will appear in Tamworth Local Court on Monday, August 18.
Investigations by Strike Force Rutter are continuing.
Meanwhile, a 22-year-old woman was arrested in Mungindi after a search warrant was executed on a home in Walker St.
Police searched the home about 4pm and seized a loaded .40-calibre pistol, a .22-calibre rifle bolt, 120 grams of cannabis, used syringes, scales, resealable plastic bags and other drug paraphernalia.
The woman was arrested at the premises and taken to Mungindi Police Station, where she was charged with possess prohibited drug and supply prohibited drug.
She was granted conditional bail to appear in Mungindi Local Court on October 22.
The pistol will be subjected to forensic and ballistic analysis.
A home in Gilgai was also searched on Saturday and unsecured firearms were seized, with investigations continuing.
