The body of a man found near Tamworth last week has been formally identified as a man who went missing from the area this month.

Gerry Zdencanovic, aged 67 years, is believed to have left his home in Watsons Creek about 7am on Tuesday, July 8.
Police from Oxley Local Area Command began a search for the man.
About 12.40pm on July 16, police were called to a rural property on Watsons Creek Road, Watsons Creek, after a body was discovered.
Initial inquiries led police to believe the body was that of Gerry Zdencanovic. Further examinations have confirmed their belief.
Police are investigating the incident, which is not believed to be suspicious. A report is being prepared for the Coroner.
