POLICE officers have made a grim discovery after the body of a man missing from Inverell was found on Saturday.
Kyle Pullen was reported missing on Thursday after he left work at Bindaree Beef on Warialda Rd at about 3.30pm and did not arrive home and could not be contacted.
The 23-year-old was riding his Kawasaki z1000 motorcycle and was heading towards Tamworth.
Officers from the New England Local Area Command searched for the man for two days, but could not find him.
As word spread of his disappearance, family and friends took to Facebook in the hope of finding Mr Pullen.
Police were called to Old Bingara Rd about 8km north west of Bingara at 4.45pm on Saturday where they found Mr Pullen deceased.
It is believed the man was riding his Kawasaki motorcycle along the road when he lost control, left the roadway and crashed into a culvert.
Police established a crime scene and it was examined by forensic officers, with a report to be prepared for the coroner.
After the discovery, Mr Pullen’s father, Russell, and friends again took to Facebook to share the devastating news and to pay tribute to the man they called “Smiley”.
Russell Pullen wrote: “To all, we have bad news about Kyle Pullen. He has been found and it’s not good news. Thanks to all for your support and enquiries will post more later...”
In tribute to Kyle, a keen pig hunter, his dad also posted: “All the pigs will now come out of hiding cause they know your [sic] gone...”
