Pop music station 97.3FM has strengthened its hold on the Brisbane radio market, securing a clear win in the fourth ratings survey of 2014 and taking out the key breakfast slot.

However, the champagne corks are unlikely to be popping at any other station with mostly dreary results.
97.3 increased its overall listenership to 15.9 per cent, up from 13.4 per cent last survey.
Its closest rival, Nova 106.9FM, lost ground, dropping from a 12.8 to 11.6 per cent audience share.
97.3FM’s Robin, Terry and Bob also leapfrogged Nova’s Ash, Kip and Luttsy to win the breakfast timeslot, going from 12.6 to 14.3 per cent.
Nova breakfast lost 0.7 per cent to sit on 11.3 per cent.
B105 dropped slightly but remained in third place both overall and in breakfast.
Its Southern Cross Austereo stablemate, Triple M, recorded one of the better results - up from 8.6 to 9.3 per cent overall.
Talkback station 4BC recorded a 0.6 per cent drop to 4.9 per cent share overall, with its breakfast team of Ian Skippen and Loretta Ryan falling from 6.2 to 5.1 per cent.
However, its stablemate, hits and memories music station Magic 882 gained listeners to be 5.2 per cent overall and 5.5 per cent in breakfast.
612 ABC Brisbane remained steady with a 9.2 per cent overall audience share, with breakfast presenter Spencer Howson edging back up from 12.9 to 13.2 per cent.
Radio ratings are measured in six week blocks, with at least 2000 homes around Brisbane given survey books to complete.
