HEARTS continue to be touched by a grieving Calala dad desperate to buy a home for his young family, with a local credit union last week donating $500 to the appeal.

The staff of Northern Inland Credit Union were so moved by the story of Cameron Adams, who lost his wife Tiff to cancer last month, they held a fundraising morning tea last week, raising $250 among staff.
The credit union matched the donation dollar for dollar, depositing the money into the “House for Camo” fund on Friday.
Tiff Adams, who was only 28 when she died, made a last wish before her passing for her husband to have his own home to raise their two young boys, Caleb, 3, and Charlie, 1.
“If we can help the Adams family during this hard time to minimise their money worries, then that is one less stress for them,” Angie Allan from Northern Inland Credit Union said.
“We have a large number of parents of young families that make up our team, so a story like this puts things into perspective and we start to imagine how the same scenario would affect one of us.”
The appeal, which has a target of $50,000, has raised $13,000 in less than two weeks.
A special fundraising high tea, hosted by Teamo Teahouse, will be held at the Courthouse Hotel on August 2.
