Attempted murder accused arrested in Moree

A man wanted by Queensland police over the attempted murder of another man has been arrested in Moree.

The 24-year-old was apprehended by detectives at a home on Tuesday morning before being taken to Moree Police Station where he was charged with an outstanding warrant.

The charge relates to the attempted murder of a 25-year-old man in Toowoomba on June 26.

The victim remains in a Queensland hospital in a serious condition.

The man is expected to front an extradition hearing in Moree Local Court.
