Senior and Under 18 divisions were held recently on the June long weekend, while the younger age divisions start tomorrow and finish Monday, said Tamworth Netball Association publicity officer Lisa Fox.
“Tamworth will be sending 15U, 14U, 13U, 12U to the championships and over the three days the teams will play up to 20 games each,” Fox said.
“Since the teams were picked in early February all the girls have been working extremely hard.
“The teams are looking in good shape with some excellent results coming from recent wins at warm-up carnivals, ironing out the kinks getting that all important court time plus working on combinations and timing. We certainly believe all teams will finish in the top half of their divisions. We also have our annual all age carnival coming up in August.”
That All Age Carnival will be held on Sunday, August 3, Fox said.
“This carnival once again is a “come and try” carnival, meaning you don’t have to be a registered member of Tamworth Netball or Netball NSW to take part. We are now accepting team entries for the all the divisions: Under 10, 11-12 years, 13-14 years, 15-16 years, Under 18, Opens and Mixed.
“So if you haven’t played netball in a while, here’s your chance , dust of those shoes, get your team together and have a great day of netball and fun.”
o Entry fee is $33 per team.
