The talented 24-year-old was this week named in her second Commonwealth Games team after helping the Hockeyroos snatch gold in India in 2010.
Jenner, who this month was part of Australia’s silver medal-winning World Cup squad, spent the past week in Tamworth with family and friends.
“It’s been a full-on year but it’s really exciting to make another major tournament,” Jenner told The Leader.
“The Australian public expects us to win gold in Glasgow and I am confident we will play well.”
The tough defender has been plagued by injuries in recent years but said she was feeling in top order ahead of the Commonwealth Games, beginning on July 23.
She said she had enjoyed the past week back home.
“It’s just good to get home and switch off for a while,” Jenner said.
