A MOTORCYCLIST was taken to hospital yesterday afternoon after his bike and a car collided on the corner of Morilla St and Duri Rd, Hillvue.
The accident occurred at 2.10pm, with the 60-year-old car driver suffering minor injuries and the motorcyclist taken to Tamworth hospital with back injuries and pain in his shoulder, a Tamworth Ambulance Station spokesman said.
Teen remanded
A 14-YEAR-OLD boy faced Tamworth Children’s Court yesterday after an alleged break-and-enter on Thursday.
About 1.50pm on Thursday, a Gunnedah business owner made a citizen’s arrest of a 14-year-old boy allegedly found in the rear of the business premises.
Police were called to the Abbott St address where they arrested the teen, who was taken to Gunnedah Police Station and charged with break-and-enter dwelling with intent. Bail was refused.
Snatch and grab
TAMWORTH Police are still making inquiries into a bag-snatching incident in South Tamworth on Wednesday night.
Acting Inspector Geoff Sharpe of Tamworth Police said they had not had any fresh information provided by the public.
A thief escaped with a bag full of cash after a hit-and-grab on a person about 9pm in the vicinity of Ebony Cl and Edward St when he was approached by a hooded man from behind.
Police say the offender is about 180cm tall with a solid build.
Paddock bashing
A CAR reportedly rolled and ended up in a paddock yesterday near Tenterfield.
The single-car accident took place about 5km north of town on the Bruxner Highway at 3.40pm.
One of the passengers was taken to hospital.
