Just before midday, the truck was travelling along the New England Highway before it struck a bridge railing and rolled at Tintinhull.
The impact caused significant damage to the undercarriage of the truck.
The driver, a man aged in his thirties and believed to be from the Kempsey area, managed to climb out of the overturned truck and was treated by Ambulance paramedics before being transported to Tamworth hospital with minor injuries.
Emergency services were called to the scene to mop up the accident and prevent any danger of fuel spills.
The accident did not impact on traffic along the highway but a difficult salvage operation is underway.
The cause is under investigation.
